Communications with a greater purpose.

Hi, I’m Brooke Bourgeois, founder of The Comms House.

For more than 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving churches and nonprofit organizations in creative and communications roles—helping teams take what matters most and communicate it with clarity, creativity, and purpose.

But for me, communications has never just been about creating great content, keeping up with social media, or making things look good.

It’s about the message.

I’m driven by Kingdom purpose and passionate about helping churches clearly communicate the most important message on the planet: the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how much is asked of church and nonprofit teams. There’s always another Sunday coming, another event to promote, another email to send, another graphic to create, another story that needs to be told—and often, there simply aren’t enough hours or people to do it all well.

That’s why I created The Comms House.

The Comms House exists to come alongside churches and Kingdom-minded nonprofits with experienced, practical communications support. Whether that means helping establish a strategy, managing the weekly communications rhythm, writing copy, supporting creative projects, or simply bringing organization to the chaos, my goal is to help your team communicate more clearly and consistently without adding another full-time position.

The person behind The Comms House

I’m a wife, mom to two incredible adopted kids, longtime church creative, communicator, and ministry leader. My background spans creative direction, communications, worship, production, digital strategy, content creation, events, and helping teams turn big ideas into something people can actually understand and engage with.

I understand ministry because I’ve lived it.

I know the Sunday deadline that never moves. I know what it’s like to balance vision with limited staff, limited budgets, and a very long to-do list. And I know how important it is that communications serve the mission—not become another distraction from it.

That perspective shapes everything I do at The Comms House.

Your mission matters. Let’s communicate it well.

You don’t necessarily need a bigger team. Sometimes you just need the right person in your corner.

Let’s talk about how The Comms House can support yours.
